The impressive Waterloo Bridge. The bridge was built in 1815, the same year the famous battle of Waterloo was fought. It spans the lovely River Conwy and is the main entrance and exit route to and from the village.

For starters, an abundance of climbing and outdoor shops ensure that walkers and climbers are well catered to.

Betws-y-Coed has a fantastic little ( 9 holes ) golf course and is open to visitors. The course location is stunning and has the river Conwy running on one boundary.

For the avid fisherman there are day ticket waters both on the local lakes and rivers. From June onwards Salmon can be caught in the rivers Conwy, Llugwy and LLedr.

For the more enthusiastic outdoor people there is the Tree Top Adventure course recently opened last year and proving very popular for young and old.

The miniature railway is a very popular attraction which runs around its own scenic track and a latest edition is the elecrtic tram.

A new Art Gallery is going to be opened by Easter this year and is close to the centre of activities.

Being in the Snowdonia National Park the stunning beauty of the area is maintained , and Snowdon the highest mountain in Wales is a short drive away.
